Your coat might be on the floor because it fell off its usual rack, or your phone might be in a drawer under the bar where you usually put it.
Check places you know you’ve lost this thing before. Do you often lose your phone, keys, or jewelry? If so, it might have ended up where it was before. Think about the places where you often lose things. After that, check these places very carefully. For instance, you often forget to take your bag out of the car or put your keys in the lock.
